The Guardian Scholars program works to improve post-secondary enrollment, persistence, and attainment for youth and young adults who have experience in the foster care system in Colorado through financial support, 1:1 mentoring, and other navigation and wrap-around supports.
This Spring and Summer we have four scholars graduating with a Certificate or Bachelor’s degree!
Meet Some of Our Graduates:
Kendra – Colorado State University, Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Intervention and Prevention
Matthew – Colorado State University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical Engineering, and Chemical and Biological Engineering
Chasity – Red Rocks Community College, Associate of Science in Medical Assisting with a certification in General Studies
Xiola – Pickens Technical College, Esthetician Certification
Scholars and mentors gathered together virtually to celebrate finishing the Spring semester and another successful academic year! The celebration was full of gratitude for the support the Guardian Scholars program provides and for the scholars’ hard work and determination.
