Our unique approach offers a comprehensive, individualized program for emancipating foster care youth

All youth finishing high school and heading out into the world need support.  Most rely on family.  Youth aging out of foster care can rely on us.

If you asked past participants of our program, they’d tell you what Forward Steps offers is really not a program at all, but an opportunity.  It’s an opportunity to create your own personal environment for success.  Forward Steps provides the following benefits to assist you in your transition to life after foster care:

A Place to Call Home

We provide a fully-furnished apartment located in the Denver metro area near public transportation.

Financial Assistance

A monthly stipend for expenses until you are paying all bills yourself, and you are ready to leave the program. We also offer assistance in applying for financial aid including the FAFSA, COF, ETV, and scholarships.

Experiences to Learn From

We encourage and support you in real-life experiences: full-time college, a part-time job, maintaining a household and budget, cultural experiences and a connection in the community.

An Environment to Succeed

Job search assistance, life skills training, and overall support and encouragement. It’s a stable environment where you are accepted and supported as you find your own personal pathway to independence.
